Magic Realism

This kind of technique is the most enchanting so far. The mixture of fantasy to the real things. I love how my mind could fly and explore the boundless possibilities of the Magic Realism. The alteration could also be called as a miracle through the impossibilities of those stories. The stories are twisted and bent but still with the attachment of reality in it. It is indeed marvelous.

Life's lessons

How i wish I could go on a road trip. The story made me realize that life is short. It's not the issue of fidelity or what, in the end it won't matter anyway. In the movie, it showed the impermanence of things. That though two things are tied and bound together, the knot will wither and change and another string of life will take place.

NOW

now we will start the real discussion. Y tumama Tambien movie is the pre conditioning of the things we will have in Latin Literature. So please bare with me. Some of the ideas and terms might be new to you. And please review your figures of speech and literary devices!

UNFORGETTABLE "ITO MAMA TOM BIEN" :)

I really enjoyed watching the movie even though in the first scene it was so scandalous...The film is a coming of age story about two teenage boys taking a road trip with a woman in her late twenties. At first, we were all excited to see this movie cause as what our teacher have said we can't wait to see the movie... There are some lessons I've learned... its not that we will judge others right away without knowing what his or her real identity. We need to know first the reason why??? I found out the movie a little bit funny because there are some scenes made us laugh.... I really wanted to have a copy of the movie....hehehe! After we watched the movie, our teacher shared a little bit something of the movie blah blah blah.... I am thankful to our teacher coz he gave us the chance to watched this kind of movie...:)

THE LOST OF IDENTITY AND ITS ADVANTAGE

In evry aspect of colonization, there have been trials, sufferings and even "misconception" of one's culture. And these are the negative things that people from the developing countries had been experiencing during this colonial period. Furtheremore,on the other side of colonization, there would have been "extra-life" that they've shared to us like those aspects that we've called "the advantages". We have lost our identity without knowing that the wall behind this fact there lies an instant life of education and religion that somehow predistined us to even more exiting discoveries.

Education serves as our foundation of knowledge. without education,we might have not known about the essence of the existence of life. we won't know ,for an instance, about science which helps us to be open-minded. Eienstein, through education, shares us his famous theory of relativity that leads us(colonized people) to the important discoveries of the universe like to our basic knowledge of things as composed of atoms. While the philosopers and the rests of the scientists give us their knowledge about the scientific explaination of the things and the philosophy of life. Education gives us the chances to reason out evrything beyond/not to our senses,or even to use it as our tool for revenge like Achebe and Rizal did.

Next to education is religion. This serves us to be our inspiration of living in this uncertain world. Religion provides us an answer to the "universal fear of unknown"by giving us the foundational reflection of reality--The supreme being. God,through our religion, therefore, satisfies our inner-longigness. And by doing this,we are more equiped than before the period of colonization.

Colonization, though reshapes our distiny, makes us to be happy(religion)and curious(education)about the things in this world by teaching us a far more relevant concept about life's reality through their teachings to us. Religion teaches us about spiriual life while education brings us the knowledge of life. Thus by looking at the positive aspect of colonization,we are so much blessed of what we've had.
Won't it be an advantage?

to review..

the first semester just started and now we are required again to post a blog for this subject.

Latin American literature is very interesting.new books, new style and new author to discover..unfortunately almost all of us forgot the literary terms which is the most important element of literature..the quiz made up my mind that I should review for my previous lesson.. so far were making good out of everything..

it's just simply mean that if you want to know more of literature i should start on the basic..

The Role of Multicultural Literature

The literature used should accurately portray the history, customs, values, and language of a particular cultural group. Through sharing carefully selected literature, students can learn to understand and to appreciate a literary heritage that comes from many diverse backgrounds.Students also benefit from reading literature that reflects their own ethnic and cultural background. Such literature can be an important tool in helping all students develop a healthy self-concept - one that is based on a knowledge of and a sense of pride in family background.
